LDPE Shanghai Petrochemical N210
LDPE Shanghai Petrochemical N210 Resin
Material Introduction: LDPE Shanghai Petrochemical N210 is low‑density polyethylene mainly used for blown‑film processing. With favorable optical property, excellent flexibility and processability, it is widely adopted in packaging and agricultural sectors.
Main Applications
Packaging films: food packaging films (candy, vegetables, frozen‑food packaging), blown‑films for liquid packaging (milk, fruit juice), heavy‑duty bags, shrink‑wrap films, liner films, general‑purpose industrial packaging films and food bags.
Agricultural films: agricultural film, mulch film, vegetable greenhouse film.
Other applications: pipe coating, cable sheathing material, raw material for injection‑molded articles including small containers, lids, daily‑use goods and plastic flowers.
Performance Parameters
| Performance Category | Test Item | Test Method / Condition | Test Data / Unit | Remarks & Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Properties | Density | ASTM D1505 / GB/T 1033 | 0.921‑0.925 g/cm³ | Typical LDPE density range. |
| Melt Flow Rate (MFR) | ASTM D1238(190°C/2.16kg) / GB/T 3682 | 2.2 g/10min, partial source:0.5 g/10min | Major reference value 2.2 g/10min, good melt strength for blown‑film forming. | |
| Mechanical Properties | Tensile Strength | ASTM D638 / GB/T 1040 | 15.9 MPa / approx.14.7 MPa(150 kg/cm²) | Sufficient mechanical strength for film production, transportation and service. |
| Elongation at Break | ASTM D638 / GB/T 1040 | 600% / 780% | Superb toughness and ductility against large deformation. | |
| Optical Properties | Haze | GB/T 2410 / ASTM D1003 | 10 % | Low haze delivers high transparency for commodity display in packaging. |
| Film Appearance | Fish‑eye (0.4mm) | GB 11115 | 0 pcs/1520cm² | Film quality indicator; lower value stands for better uniformity and fewer impurities. |
| Fish‑eye (0.8mm) | GB 11115 | 0 pcs/1520cm² | Same as above. | |
| Thermal Properties | Vicat Softening Point | ASTM D1525 | 94 °C | Heat‑resistance evaluation index. |
| Brittle Temperature | ASTM D746 | ‑76 °C | Outstanding low‑temperature toughness performance. | |
| Other Properties | Pellet Appearance (Contaminated Particles) | SH/T 1541 | 0 pcs/kg | High‑purity resin raw material. |
Injection‑Molding Process Parameters
| Process Parameters | Recommended Range | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| Barrel Temperature | 160‑210 °C | Temperature rises from rear zone to front zone. LDPE melt is susceptible to thermo‑oxidative degradation upon oxygen exposure. |
| Nozzle Temperature | 180‑200 °C | ‑ |
| Mold Temperature | 20‑60 °C | ‑ |
| Injection Pressure | Medium‑high pressure | Relatively poor flowability compared with injection‑special LDPE; suggested 80‑140 MPa (800‑1400 bar). |
| Injection Speed | Medium speed | ‑ |
| Back Pressure | 0.5‑1.0 MPa | Excessive back pressure is not required. |
| Screw Speed | 50‑100 rpm | Avoid excessive shear heat accumulation. |
| Drying Treatment | Normally not required | Dry at 80 ℃ for 1 h under poor storage environment. |
